Shibuya 109... We Meet Again

The day after arriving in Japan, I was already headed for 109. And it's a good thing Take-chan told me to bring a fraction of my money, otherwise I would've spent most of it in one day! It's just so easy to spend in there... T__T

On the way to the train station.
It was still a few days before New Year's, so 109 wasn't that crowded yet. There were already some great sales going on!

With one of the shop staff from Rose Fan Fan. She was such a sweetheart! :3 I was eyeing her coat, but I figured I should browse other shops first. Rose Fan Fan has a really great variety of clothing, and the best part is that their prices are very reasonable.

Went to Liz Lisa of course, and Nan-chan was still working there! ♥ I was so touched that she still remembered me after a year. T__T I didn't even realize it until later, but the outfit I chose to purchase was the exact same one she was wearing... Just like the last time I was there! xD
So after looking around the shops for a while, Frank and I left early so we could go home and get some rest for the next day: Tokyo Disney Sea! :D

Akihabara Winter Wonderland

I sure have a lot of catching up to do on my blog! I'm also back from Japan, which was a lot of fun! ^__^ I regret not taking more photos, though. It was such a relaxing trip that I was often too lazy to bring out my camera. Did a lot of eating and shopping, though! ♥ I was barely able to fit everything in my luggage. But anywho, more talk about that later...

I gotta backtrack to last month! When the semester ended, I was finally able to attend an event after so long. T__T The event was Tune in Tokyo's Akihabara Winter Wonderland, which was a cosplay-themed Christmas party. There were a lot of great costumes that night! Again, I should've taken more photos... Gotta stop doing that before it turns into a habit. D:

Special Birthday Surprise

My birthday fell on a Saturday this year, which is awesome because chances are I'll have a final exam when it falls on a weekday. U__U So this time I got to sleep in and bum it out all morning! As it got late, I started getting ready because Take-chan told me we were going to have dinner at a nice restaurant. ♥ Then lo and behold, I walked in and realized that it wasn't going to be just the two of us. All of my family and friends were there! It was such a lovely surprise. ^__^

Tried a different combo of lashes that night. Inspired by the make-up in Happie Nuts! ♥

Went to Lazy Dog with Take-chan and some of my co-workers afterwards.
On a side note, I'm leaving for Japan in exactly a week! I'm really excited because I'll get to experience New Year's with Take-chan and his family. I'll also be there in time for the big sales at Shibuya 109! Hopefully I can snag a few fukubukuro. ^__^

Free!!!

Finally done with this crazy semester! T__T I don't think I've ever studied so hard and so consistently ever in my life, and it's not going to get any easier. Once this winter break is over, I won't have anymore breaks until I finish the MLT program. I'll be doing clinicals and taking a class or two over the summer, and I'll probably be doing my last clinical during winter break of next year. U__U

So anyways... This past Thanksgiving, I went with my family up to San Francisco to spend it with our relatives. While we were there, I got to do a photoshoot! Here are some of my favorite shots:

It might not look like it, but I was freezing my butt off! And it just so happened to be reeeally windy that day. My eyes were even tearing up at one point because I was trying to keep them open for each shot. U__U Anywho, thank you so much to my uncle for taking the photos! :D

ShibuyaLA Grand Opening Party

Sorry for the multiple posts! ^__^; I was having some trouble with Blogger and Disqus... So anyways, ShibuyaLA had their grand opening party hosted by Kimimela about two weeks ago, and now I'm finally going to post about it! I know all of my posts have been so outdated lately, but it's been really difficult to update because of school. My clinicals have also started, so I'm even busier than before... T__T Anywho, let's just move on to the photos from the party! xD

This is actually ShibuyaLA's second store, except that this particular one sells only underwear and pajamas.

The shop's design is really cute! The front part has an "outside" feel to it. It had this mailbox, a welcome sign, light posts, and even a bench, all on a tiled floor.

And then there's the "inner portion" that showcases all the cute and sexy underwear. :3 If you look closely, you'll notice that the carpet is pink leopard print! *__*

I also finally got my hands on these lashes that day! I was dying to try them out after seeing them being advertised all over the magazines...

... And I absolutely loved them! :D These are my favorite lashes right now. ♥

Japanese Summer Festival

Long time no blog! ^__^; So here's what's been going on in my life lately... Take-chan and I decided to eat lunch at Mitsuwa a couple weekends back, and to our surprise, there was a summer festival going on in the parking lot! xD Had I known about it in advance, I would've taken the time to put on my yukata. U__U

Absolutely gorgeous weather that day. Super excited for the festival! ♥

They had this really funky band playing when we got there. I loved every song they performed! Really good songs to lock to... In fact, Take-chan started locking in front of the stage because nobody else wanted to dance! xD

Green tea to quench our thirst.

The okonomiyaki was so good! *__* ♥

More green tea! xD This time in shaved ice form with sweet azuki beans on top. SUCH a good combination!

They were selling so many different masks! I've never had one before, so Take-chan bought me a Chopper mask. ♥ He got the Goku one... xD

Take-chan putting for a prize! The consolation prizes were so good. One pack of Hi-Chew for every game you play! *__*

Another one of the many games we played... I don't know what this one is called, but you basically have to go fishing and hook onto one of the water-filled balloons without your string breaking.

I thought I would fail miserably, but I managed to snag two! :D

We also got these adorable matching Stitch plushies, and their attire was quite appropriate for the festivities going on that day! :3

I also ran into this really sweet girl that recognized me from my blog! xD I wasn't sure if it was okay for me to post the photo I took with you, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming up to me and saying hello! It really made me happy and it motivates me to blog more often! ^__^ ♥

Tokyo Tower & Kite's Poppin' Class

Now that my internet is working normally again, I can finally update! :D This time I'll be backtracking to my Japan trip earlier this year. ♥ On one of our last days in Japan, Take-chan and I visited Tokyo Tower. It was pretty scary since I'm afraid of heights, but it was a really good experience! :3

After Tokyo Tower, Take-chan and I headed over to Shibuya to meet up with our friend. We ate at this amazing ramen place that was pretty close to 109. I forgot the name of the place, but it was the best ramen I've ever had! ♥ And the soft boiled egg was so amazing... *__*

My tummy was very happy. :3

After ramen, the three of us went to Harajuku to kill some time before dance class. Do you recognize this famous bridge? :D

Crepes are definitely one thing you need to try while in Japan. ♥ Oh, and that's my friend in the background. xD

And last but not least, Kite's poppin' class! He's quite a famous dancer in Japan. One of the best! And he's super nice, which made his class very enjoyable. ^__^

We even bought his crew's t-shirts! They're called Former Action, a three-man crew consisting of Kite, Madoka, and Isi.

If you've never seen Kite dance, check out this video! It's of a dance battle he won at a poppin' competition in France. Plus he's wearing the shirt I got! xD

Anime Expo 2011 & Vocaloid Fashion Show

This past weekend was Anime Expo, and I was really lucky to have been chosen as one of the models for a Vocaloid-themed fashion show! ^__^ A big thank you goes out to Tune in Tokyo for letting us do the fashion show at their after party, to Q Pop for lending us the clothes, and to Mandie and Oli for successfully organizing it! Some of the brands featured included Algonquins, Putumayo, Sex Pot Revenge, and some others.

Michi added to the make-up I already had on, and this was the result. She works wonders! I don't think I've ever worn make-up this heavy before. xD

You can probably guess which Vocaloid character I was... Hatsune Miku! ^__^ The pigtails weren't attached yet, but here I am with the lovely Steph. ♥

Review - Candy Doll Strawberry Pink Blush

Today I'll be doing a review on Tsubasa Masuwaka's Candy Doll blush in Strawberry Pink! (´▽`) I bought it at Donki while I was in Japan earlier this year. ♥

The packaging is so cute! Even if I didn't know about Candy Doll, the box alone would've caught my eye.

Though small, the blush comes in a clear pan with a cute design on the front. :3

Really gorgeous bubble gum pink color. ♥

My blush came specially packaged with this nifty brush and case. I always use it when I put on Candy Doll. ^__^

Here are what my cheeks looked like before applying the blush.

And with the blush! This photo was taken with natural lighting. I think the color looks just as vibrant on my cheeks as it does in the pan.

I really caked the blush on my face, but my camera doesn't seem to pick it up very well. It looked much heavier in person!

With flash, you can definitely see the color a lot better. It's funny because when my little cousin saw me that day, he told me I looked like Pikachu! xD

Overall, I absolutely love this blush! It's the perfect shade of pink for me. ♥ Although heavily pigmented, it's not too heavy when applied lightly. The best part is that it shows up well in photos, especially with flash. ^__^ I'd say the only disadvantages are its small size and lack of availability in the U.S. It's a bit more expensive to buy it online, but quite easy to obtain. There's just that anticipation of getting it in the mail. xD

Tokyo Collaboration 2011

Thank you so much, everyone, for continuing to support my blog despite the lack of updates! I finished the semester with an A, so now I can finally relax and start posting again! ヽ(；▽；)ノ

A little over a week ago, I went to Tokyo Collaboration with Michi and tons of other cute gals. We had an amazing time! The music was great, and we even got to see some celebrities! :3

The venue for Tokyo Collaboration was Avalon in Hollywood. Really nice place!

We also met DJ Barbie in the bathroom! xD I asked her if we could take some photos with her, and she was extremely nice about it.

I danced with Take-chan all night long! (´▽`)

He also won me this adorable Hello Kitty plushie! Round 1 brought a UFO catcher to the event and it was free to play. Take-chan got it in one try! Thanks, baby! ♥

As Take-chan and I were leaving, we were lucky enough to bump into Chiaki. ♥

And she was with Rayko, who told us that she paid $40 for parking! U.U

Galifornia Disneyland Adventure

Man, how long has it been since I last blogged this time? xD I'll just be straight up. School is my number one priority right now, and what little free time I have is spent with my boyfriend or just resting. I have about a month of school left to go, and then I can definitely fulfill my promise of being more active again! ^__^

This post is way overdue. It's been almost a month since the Galifornia Disneyland meet-up, but I still remember how much fun it was! The weather was awesome, too! Sunny all day and not too cold at night... Perfect for watching the fireworks and Fantasmic! ♥

On a side note, I've decided to delete Disqus and stick with Blogger's crappy commenting system for now. I spent so much time trying to figure out how to get Disqus to work on my blog, and when I finally did, it didn't even last that long. U.U

Dance Until You Drop

Once again, I've been pretty inactive on Blogger lately. School and work has just been keeping me really busy! And on top of that, my family and I just moved to a new place, so that was a total energy-drainer in itself. ~__~ Anywho, I really want to catch up with reading and commenting on everyone's blogs! :3

So last Saturday, I went with Take-chan and my little brother to World of Dance 2011! I unfortunately didn't get a chance to take any photos because there were so many things going on, but I had a lot of fun! Take-chan also performed on the big stage! ♥ He's part of Culture Shock Los Angeles, and I think they did a really good job with their set. ^__^ Check out the video! At the beginning, Take-chan is the person behind the MC to the right. You can also see his poppin' piece at 3:51 (he's the tall one in the middle). ♥

Last night, my friends and I went to Playhouse in Hollywood. It was so much fun! Since we knew one of the promoters, we were able to get into the club for free, including a table with free bottle service! The music was so good too. Even though it was totally crowded like the clubs in Vegas, we just couldn't stop dancing. xD

Before heading to Hollywood, we grabbed a quick drink at BJ's!

Everything was going well until a small fight broke out towards the end of the night... Some drunk girl tried to punch this guy, and then things got a little rowdy. The security was able to quickly break up the fight, but my friends and I got caught up in the middle! We tried to move out of the way, but there were so many people that we got tossed around like pinballs. ~__~ What's worse is that I opened my purse to check my phone right before it happened, and some of my stuff fell out (including my credit card)! Luckily, I was able to retrieve everything. U.U

But you know what? It's all good because we got to see...

Apl.De.Ap from the Black Eyed Peas! *__* He performed their latest song "The Time." ♥

We bumped into him as we were leaving, so naturally I asked him for a photo. I'm so sad it came out blurry! (*´д`*) But the upside is that he invited us to his after party! I wanted to go, but one of the girls had work at 6AM. U.U Maybe next time!

By the way, I have a question for all the Disqus users out there! I installed it on my blog, but then I noticed that the comment link only shows up for the main page. If I go to my previous entries, the link mysteriously disappears. Does anyone else have this problem too?

Visiting Take-chan

Whenever I spend the day with my Take-chan, I always like to dress up for him! :3 Last Saturday, we tried a new ramen place that had soft boiled eggs just like in Japan, and it was so delicious! ♥ We also did other random things like shopping around Ikea and watching Disney's Beauty and the Beast while eating sukiyaki. (´▽`) Pretty casual stuff, but we always have so much fun! So here's what I wore that day:

Nerding Out in Japan

After returning from Kyoto, Take-chan took me to Japan's famous Electric Town, Akihabara. There were so many arcades and otaku-friendly stores (including maid cafes)! xD

On the way to the station, we bumped into this adorable Shiba Ken! ♥ Looks like he's more interested in my bear than taking a photo, though. xD

Just a small glimpse of Akihabara. If you look closely, there's a Left 4 Dead 2 banner hidden behind the trees! ♥

I loved how the streets were so colorful. ^__^

One thing I really wanted to experience in Japan was going to a maid cafe, so that's exactly what we did! xD Take-chan and I went to the 7th floor of @ Home Cafe, where we were served by the lovely Layla. She was so sweet! As soon as we walked in, she gave us a really warm welcome. Of course I chose her to be our maid! (´▽`) I wish I could've taken photos, but they unfortunately aren't permitted. It was a really fun experience, though! I got to eat a really cute dessert and take Polaroids with Layla (which she decorated). ♥

On the way back home, I asked Take-chan if we could stop by the Square Enix building. ♥

They have such a gorgeous entrance! I also love the snowflakes they added to the windows. ^__^

Kupo! :3 I believe this adorable Moogle is in the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV MMORPG. It makes me really sad that I don't own a PS3. T__T

After checking out the store in the lobby, we noticed that there was a second room where they were showcasing a bunch of figurines and other merchandise. When I walked in and looked at the floor, I was shocked to see this...

Holy smokes, it's Sephiroth! (ﾟдﾟ) He looked so real it was scary, but it was also really cool. ♥

It's as if he was going to open his eyes at any moment! *__*

Diamond Gals on NTV!

Do you remember the secret appointment that I mentioned not too long ago? Well here it is: Diamond Gal Circle featured on NTV's Sekai no Kuchikomi Atsumemashita (Rumors From Around the World)! (´▽`) I was so nervous about how the final cut would look, but I think it turned out pretty good! Our segment mainly covered our "gal circle code." Just a quick disclaimer before you watch it, though... A lot of the dialogue was translated incorrectly, but you can kind of make out what we're actually saying if you listen carefully. xD Here's the video:

I've also included some screenshots with translations below! A big thanks to Grace and Mie for spending hours to actually find the video, and to my Take-chan for providing the translations! ♥

We are going to introduce an interesting rumor from a gal group in California. In the area of Los Angeles appears to be... California gals inspired by Japanese gal culture (Galifornia).

"Hello! I'm Krystina, the leader of this group!"

"In Los Angeles, there are a few groups that make gal circles and are still active. Today, our Galifornia rumor is that we want to show our love for Japan ('Japan Love')."

First, the gals introduced their club room. When you see them from behind, they look Japanese.
"This is our club room, and we call it 'Shibuya.'"
1. They call their club room Shibuya.
2. Gal goods are purchased at Little Tokyo. (Japanese doll?)
3. They consider Ageha and PopSister their bibles.
"We buy them at Little Tokyo and study Japanese gals from the magazines."

"Why did you want to become a gal?"
Val: "The first time I saw gal fashion, I was shocked. That cuteness can only be in Japan!"
It seems that their inspiration comes from... Tsubasa (Masuwaka)!
4. Tsubasa is considered to be a god or queen.

Mandie: "These are my favorite eyelashes from Tsubasa! Just looking at the eyelashes makes me happy."
Mie: "This is Tsubasa’s eye shadow and mascara. I want to be like Tsubasa, so I put them on all the time."

"What do you think? Doesn't it look good?"

The gals wanted to show the Japanese something. They arrived in the middle of a downtown Los Angeles shopping mall. What's going to happen?
Val: "Are you guys ready?"
Is it what we think it is...? Para para?
"No way!"

Suddenly...
"This gal is not dancing. Does she even remember it?"

Val: "Stop, stop, stop! Mie, did you practice the moves?"
Mie: "That's what I think I'm doing..."
Val: "Tsubasa might be watching this! It's a disgrace!"
Mie: "I'm just a little bit nervous!"
Val: "You are a disgrace to Galifornia!"
6. They are aware that they are on Japanese television.
Michi: "Just calm down, you two. I can't believe we are fighting over this. What if this whole segment is being aired in Japan? I can’t believe this."

"We are trying to impress Tsubasa, and our leader feels pressure because of that. Our leader probably loves gal more than any of us. She's just really intense when it comes to leading the group."

One hour later... "Okay! We got to our favorite spot! Yoshigyu! We heard that Tsubasa eats here too."
7. After an argument, they go to Yoshinoya. Yoshinoya is very popular in Los Angeles.

8. Beef bowl with extra juice is the best!
Even in the receipt, it says "extra juice." In Los Angeles, you can experience the taste of Japan. After putting a lot of assorted pepper... "Itadakimasu!"

Val: "After eating a beef bowl, I feel that our argument was stupid, Mie. I'm sorry I said harsh things to you."

3. Mandie isn't a part of Diamond, but she was our very special guest. ^__^ ♥
4. Most of us don't actually dance para para.
5. The fight between Mie and Val was staged.

So all in all, it wasn't the most accurate representation of us, but we still had a lot of fun! :3 Also, Tsubasa tweeted about us! She says she wants to meet one day! *__* ♥

Touring Kyoto: Part 2

Holy cow! The response I've gotten so far with my giveaway is astounding. Our first stop after eating lunch was Heian Jingu Shrine. It's customary to wash your hands here before entering.

If you're looking at the shrine's entrance and you turn around, you'll see this amazing shrine gate arching over the road. I believe it's the biggest one in Japan!

On the way back to the tour bus, Take-chan tied my fortune for me. I got the best one! (´▽`)

Next stop was Sanjusangen-do, which houses 1001 statues of Kannon. In the center of the main hall is an amazingly huge wooden statue of Kannon, accompanied by 500 human-sized ones on each side. *__* It was kinda scary, but also very beautiful. ♥ Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take photos out of respect for the gods, so I can only show you this photo of what the building looks like from the outside. The sun was beginning to set, and our last stop was Kiyomizu Temple. On the way up the hill, we bumped into these pretty girls wearing their kimonos for Seijin no Hi. It's basically a coming of age day for those who have reached the age of 20.

The hill had many small shops on the way to the temple.

We finally reached the entrance of Kiyomizu Temple. What's amazing about this national treasure is that it sits on a steep hill, and if you jumped off the balcony, it'd be about a 13 meter drop! (ﾟдﾟ) And here's the craziest part: Not a single nail was used to build this entire structure! *__* How is it even standing?!

As we were getting ready to head back to the hotel, we caught this breathtaking sunset.

Diamond Gals in LA

Almost two weeks ago, I met up with my good friend Emy to hang out and go shopping. ♥ She helped me pick out some cool stuff from ANAP for my upcoming giveaway! More details about that later. ^__^ So while Emy and I sat down to eat at Curry House, we finally exchanged Christmas presents with each other. xD She got me a super cute Liz Lisa top, Dolly Wink bottom lashes, and a pink kamipita! Touring Kyoto: Part 1

I took tons of photos during the tour, so I'll be separating them into two parts. Our first stop was Ryoanji Temple. I was trying really hard to admire its beauty, but it was just way too cold because it was still early morning. The worst part was that we had to take off our shoes and put on slippers. U.U

There were a couple of old buildings along the way to Ryoanji Temple, including a small shop.

Looking back at the entrance to the main area.

This is the rock garden, which was said to be created at the end of the 15th century. In the spring, its background consists of beautiful cherry blossoms. ♥

Right next to the rock garden.

Tsukubai, the stone-wash basin for the tea room. It has an inscription that reads "I learn only to be contented."

On the way back, there was a lady giving out samples of hot tea. It was life-saving! (*´д`*) It was also delicious, so Take-chan bought a pack for me. ♥

Next stop was Rokuonji Temple. Its main attraction is Kinkakuji, also known as the Golden Pavilion.

The 2nd and 3rd floors of Kinkakuji are covered with gold-leaf on Japanese lacquer. Absolutely breathtaking.

Thought this looked pretty cool. ^__^

I think this waterfall is called "Ryuumon Taki."

On the way back to the bus, we found a little shop that had all these vending machines next to it. This is normal to see anywhere else in Japan, but I was surprised to find them at a temple.

At the little shop, Take-chan got us these. I forgot what it was called, but it was delicious and warm! :3 It's basically mochi with the usual sweet red beans.

Our last stop before lunch break was Kyoto Imperial Palace. This is just one of the many gates surrounding the entire property.

Here's a view of Shishinden, the most important building on the palace grounds. It was used for important ceremonies of state, such as enthronement ceremonies.

The orange accents found on the walls surrounding Shishinden were so pretty.

This is Oikeniwa Garden, which is also located within the palace grounds. It looked so beautiful, even in the winter. ^__^

After Kyoto Imperial Palace, it was time for lunch. We had quite a bit of time to kill until the next half of the tour, so we checked out some shops. Look at these adorable wine decorations! ... Or costumes, more like. xD

And that's pretty much it for the morning portion of the tour! I'll be posting the second half in a few days. (´▽`) I also got an award from Elisa. Thank you very much! ♥

Arriving In Kyoto

Short post today! The morning after Take-chan and I explored Tokyo, we took the bullet train to Kyoto. It took about two hours to get there, and I got to see the more rural parts of Japan on the way! We also passed by Mt. Fuji-san, which looked absolutely gorgeous covered in snow. ♥

A Mister Donut! (´▽`) Finally I would get to try the adorable bear donuts that I kept seeing on other blogs... ♥

Look at all of these amazing sweets... *__* It was only a matter of time until I sunk my teeth into one of those bear donuts. Oh, but guess what! The guy in front of us took the last strawberry bear! It was the one I really wanted to try, too! (*´д`*)

I ended up settling for a normal strawberry donut, which was delicious, just not as cute. xD And for some reason Take-chan and I slept for the rest of the day, which was fine because we signed up for an all-day tour of Kyoto starting the following morning. Exploring Tokyo: Shibuya, Harajuku, & Shinjuku

After a fun-filled day in Shibuya, I just had to go back the next morning! I wanted to really scrutinize all of the different stores in 109, and I totally lucked out! While we were at Liz Lisa, Take-chan spotted something. "Hey, isn't that a lucky bag?" I couldn't believe my eyes, but it was (and one of the suitcases at that)! I was sure that they were all sold out by then. However, Nan-chan explained that there were a few leftovers in other stores, so they sent them to the 109 store. There were only three! I was so happy to get one for myself! xD

After shopping for a few hours, we stuffed all of the shopping bags in a locker and started heading towards Harajuku. On the way, Take-chan got a shiny new letterman varsity jacket to match the one I was wearing from W♥C! (´▽`) Once we reached Harajuku, we bumped into Harry, one of our friends from Cali! He's currently going to school in Japan, so it was really nice to see him again. ^__^ After making plans to meet each other later, Take-chan and I parted with Harry and checked out a few shops before reaching Takeshita Dori. I would've taken more photos, but there were just too many people! We started to feel pretty claustrophobic, and we ended up not staying too long.

Heading towards Harajuku! It was freezing, but it felt so good to walk.

Stopped at a famous kabob place.

The biggest Korilakkuma I've ever seen! *__* Its head is so big that it's sagging off its body. xD

Stopped to eat even more food! This takoyaki smelled way too good to pass up. There was also a long line, so you know it had to be awesome.

And it totally was! Best takoyaki I've ever had. *__* ♥

Finally reached Takeshita Dori in Harajuku!

Later on, we met up with two of Take-chan's high school friends for a dance session in Shinjuku, the same place we were meeting up with Harry. xD There's a certain office building that has tons of windows surrounding it, and a lot of dancers go there just to practice. It was so cold, though! (ﾟдﾟ) I don't how everyone could withstand it. Every time Take-chan would take off a layer, I'd put it on to keep myself warm! T__T

We also took purikura! ♥ This machine was my favorite while in Japan. It doesn't make your eyes look too big, and it automatically separates the stickers for each person! We don't have anything like that in Cali. xD Anywho, I'll be posting all the purikura I took separately since my scanner's not working at the moment. U.U

And that was pretty much our day. ^__^ After eating dinner, we had to go back to Shibuya to get all of the shopping bags from earlier and then head home. Tomorrow was going to be an early day...

Shibuya 109 & Big Gyaru Me2

Hello, everyone! I'm sad to say that I'm back from Japan, but I had the most amazing time! (´▽`) Take-chan and I only spent about 10 days there, so we tried to visit lots of different places. It might've been too much because my poor Take-chan got sick while we were in Kyoto (probably from fatigue and the extremely cold weather). U.U But luckily, he had a speedy recovery! ♥

So my first impression of Japan: Nostalgic. Even though I've never been to Japan until that moment, there was something about Tokyo that felt so familiar and made me feel that this is where I belong. Plus the warm welcome and hospitality from Take-chan and his loving family made me feel right at home. In fact, I wouldn't have been able to go to Japan in the first place if it weren't for them! So for that, I'm very grateful... ♥ I even got two separate gifts from his parents and grandma for New Year's! All of which I spent at Shibuya 109, of course. xD

The day after we arrived in Japan was Big Gyaru Me2, and I had no intention of letting jet lag stop me. xD In a way, the jet lag sort of helped because I was able to wake up extremely early to get ready. I also got some shopping done before meeting up with the other gals.

Take-chan's dad was very generous to drive and drop us off right in front of Shibuya 109. It was the last day of 7 Days Bargain!

First stop: Liz Lisa! This is Nan-chan, the sweetest shop staff ever! (´▽`) She helped me so much, making my first shopping experience at 109 very enjoyable. ♥

She's so cute!!! I just had to snag her outfit! I bought the same coat and boots that she was wearing. ♥

Next stop was W♥C. It was so crowded in there! (ﾟдﾟ) I'm lucky I was able to snap a photo with this shop staff. Unfortunately, I didn't get to ask her for her name.

After shopping, Take-chan and I went back to the entrance to meet all the gals for Big Gyaru Me2. I was very surprised to see a camera crew there! Little did I know that it was NHK's Tokyo Kawaii TV! (ﾟдﾟ) I'm so bad in front of video cameras... I must've said a lot of embarrassing things. U.U

Going on a Short Hiatus

Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas. ^__^ I spent mine with my boyfriend and family. It was so nice and relaxing that I forgot to take photos! U.U I don't really have many gifts to show anyways. Since my family knows that Take-chan and I will be leaving for Japan soon, most of it was money! xD

Holiday Hot Mess

I just got back from Holiday Hot Mess, presented by Tune in Tokyo and my lovely Diamond Gyaru Sa! ♥ Despite the misfortune that fell upon me earlier (my car wouldn't start and I still don't know what's wrong with it T__T), I had tons of fun! The only crappy part was having to leave early because my parents came to pick me up. ~__~

I finally got to meet my Diamond sister Bambi!!! She flew in from Japan, and she's so pretty in person! Just like in her photos. ^__^ She's a total sweetheart, too! ♥

Celebrating My Birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth

Take-chan kept saying that he had a big surprise for me on my birthday, and the only hint he would give me was to dress warm. As soon as it hit midnight, he told me that he bought two park hopper tickets for us to go to California Adventure and Disneyland! I was ecstatic! (´▽`) Here's my outfit rundown:

Sorry to all the Jessie fans out there, but I find her to be extremely annoying! So I couldn't help but crack up when Take-chan and I saw this as we were crossing the bridge to the castle:

So cute! It's amazing how Disney can make a skeleton so lovable.

And Zero, of course! ♥

We got tired pretty early (probably because of our food comas)... There were so many people too, and we were starting to feel a little claustrophobic. We ended up leaving the park for a few hours to watched Tangled... Best princess movie ever! *__* ♥ And then we went back to California Adventure to watch World of Color for the first time. It was nice, but we had to sneak past the employees to get into the good viewing area because we didn't know that we needed fast passes for it! ~__~

All in all, I had tons of fun! I also got many birthday wishes from my family and friends! Thank you all so much for making me feel special on my birthday! T__T ♥

Japan Trip Set

I can't believe it's actually happening. My lifelong dream to visit Japan is going to come true very soon, and I'm so lucky to be able to share it with the person I love most! ♥ Take-chan and I are booked to leave in early January, and we'll be staying there for a little over a week. I'm so excited! :3 I'm also really hoping to meet Charlotte and Sara Mari while we're there. ♥

Take-chan and I had a date yesterday! We can only see each other one or two times a week, so we usually just go out to eat and do fun things like play video games and watch movies. Here is what I wore:

Tired of the Sweet Style Yet?

LIZ LISA's popularity boomed this past spring and summer, and by now I'm sure that most gals are tired of seeing the same flowery coordinates. However, I can't seem to get enough of it! And it's been getting pretty hot again lately, so I figured I could get away with it. xD

My dad told me that we were going out as a family this past Monday, so I dressed up! The only problem is that we ended up not going... So I pretty much wore this outfit just to play video games all afternoon. xD I'm definitely going to use it again sometime! I'll probably wait until next year, though.

Family Outing

On Saturday, my family and I went to Orange County for a party. The traffic sucked so bad! It took us over two hours to get there, and we even got lost for a bit. ~__~ At least I got to eat good food after we arrived! And of course, the main event was watching the Pacquiao vs. Margarito fight. Congrats to Manny Pacquiao for a perfect victory! ^__^

I really wanted to try my new Ravijour bow, so I wore my hair in a bun. ♥ Here's my outfit for the night:

A Special Date With Take-chan

As of yesterday, Take-chan and I have been together for four and a half years! (´▽`) Since we both had the day off, we spent it together. ♥ I wore my newest LIZ LISA dress for the special occasion.

This dress is so comfy! And the detailing is just lovely. ♥

Our day was very relaxing. After eating the usual ramen at Santouka, we splitscreened on Black Ops for a while. xD It's so different playing it on the PS3 since the controllers are so much lighter than the ones for Xbox. What a stressful game... Unless you're playing on Nuketown, people tend to hide somewhere and "camp" for kills, which really doesn't require much skill at all. ~__~

Anywho, for dinner we had shabu shabu at Shin-Sen-Gumi! :D It was so amazing! The food is delicious and all of the workers are ikemen! xD It's a bit pricey, though, but Take-chan said it's cheap compared to Japan.

This was towards the end of the night, so my hair was losing its curls. I was trying really hard to look awake for this photo! I was in a mad food coma...

Sometime last week, Take-chan noticed some SCawaii magazines that were on sale, so he got them for me! One of them came with a really cute Ravijour hair bow. ♥

And for our four and half years, he got me this adorable Rilakkuma 2011 schedule book!

I'm so happy I got to sleep in today! I really need to start studying for my upcoming Biology exam... It's next week already! (ﾟдﾟ)

Jumping on the Bandwagon

I've noticed that tons of gals use Blogger now, and for the longest time, I've been stubborn like an old woman. On top of that, there isn't a way to make certain entries private, which is a feature I really liked from LiveJournal. Then I thought about it... What is there to hide? If I ever encounter any serious problems, I'm not one to publicly rant about it. Even though there will always be speed bumps, many wonderful things have happened in my life, and there are so many people that I'm lucky to have in it. Plus, I need to have some sort of medium for my love of being gyaru! It'll be a great way for me to meet and connect with more gals, too. ^__^ And with that, I present to you my brand new blog! ♥
